NEW YORK
CITY FREE TREE PLANTING PROGRAM
Over
the years, many of the trees in our community have died. A program from the Parks & Recreation
Department of the City of New York offers the planting of new trees at no
expense to the homeowner. Their only
requirement is that each homeowner must give his/her permission and that there
be a plot of land available at the curb for planting of a tree.
If
you want a tree planted at the curb near your home, please fill out the form
below and return it to the Young Israel of Hillcrest office. Please make copies of this form and offer
them to your neighbors as well.
DEADLINE is November 30,
2004. Please make sure to have the form in the
office no later than that date. We will
then submit all the copies at the same time to the New York City agency
sponsoring this program. We hope the
planting will take place in Spring, 2005.
Please
help us beautify our community.
